Just a quick update as you can see I have added a screenshot for the target of clueless numpties this was not the one I was targeting but does go to show you still can Googlebomb if you feel like it of course if other people were to start using the anchor text clueless numpties on our dear friends they would quickly rise up the rankings.

I know same idea happened with our VP. But, almost sure Google changed this manually. Was a joke about “bad hair” if you Googled the VP showed up with his Harry Potter hair dress…

I’m of two minds the tests I played with clearly showed that if you have all the contents of your anchor text then your good to go. The Scientology bomb would indicate that historical data is used. I tried similar bombs and got mixed results some worked some didn’t. My guess is that Google must hold weighted terms beyond their life on a page but clearly not forever so for any serious bomb you will have to be very lucky or keep a very close eye on your target page.

Tim another great post as usual. Nice to see Google Bombing 2.0 aka Link bombing still in action. After the Scientology “google bomb” I got really interested in these new style bombs and have been doing some experiments. And all are coming to the same conclusion that as you noted the site must contain or have contained those words. Although, I have noticed on one of my experiment pages that using a phrase that is included in previous anchor text along with your google bomb anchor text does have a similar effect but the phrase must be included in your google bomb anchor text or it doesn’t work. I need to get on the clueless numpties and have some fun.

They are indeed Clueless numpties and there site doesn’t rank for anything due at least partially the noindex meta tag on their main page. So infact I choose one of the few companies which can’t possibly fall foul of a Google Bomb as they can’t rank for anything with or without my help!

So the clueless numpties, are in fact ethical asses and their site should not rank as they are blocked.

Let us hope this is true, and no Google glitchy is loose at the moment…
