SEO search result
You know you have hit the big time when you are considered a related search term for SEO, now if only they were good as well ;)

Sorry guys just kidding, but it does pose an interesting question what made them choose Bruce Clay a near zero search term while missing out the rather more obvious term Search Optimisation (you can put your own z in) and hundreds slightly more relevant and useful queries.

So how much did you pay?

Sorry guys, a DB screw up meant this post went up in smoke!

Different Data Centres show different results, it is still showing for my own data centre a friend in the US had to use a slightly different query to get a similar result

  • I am a numptie and I still cant read

Hi Tim, what impact do the data centres have on search results.

Different Data Centres show different results all the time, so they can make a big difference, particularly between the information I see here in the UK (even on google.com) and those shown to friends in the US. However these differences are often only temporary in terms of search results. Where the big difference seems to be is what additional information is being shown for example in some parts of the US for the term “SEO” blog search results are shown at the top of the page, now since Google Blog Search works on freshness as opposed to any long and complicated ranking, it is a lot easier to rank a post for a specific term at least for a short while, giving you if you time it right maximum publicity to a very specific areas search.

What are the specific criterias to come up at the related search results? Is it only the search volume? I’d appreciate if you can share your expertise in this.

Because I’ve been seeing some weird results at the related search results section on google lately.
