I think one of the big problems is most people who use such programs don&#039;t know what Oauth or Basic Auth is! So they may not know that a problem is approaching, coupled with the fact many plugins no longer are actively being developed.

Only saving grace as people upgrade to Wordpress 3.0 some of the really old un supported plugins will die, forcing them to find new ones hopefully using oauth]]></description>
