Sad but true, we tend to just recommend one of the SEO companies we know and who use our services and suggest they start again, but you can't win always that said if they are approaching you at least they have noticed their is a problem which puts them above the majority of people!

The saddest thing is when a company approaches you having worked with an SEO consultant who has used all this snake oil on their website. They're not getting the results that were promised so they hope someone can make it work.

Often it may cost more to reverse some of the damage than they paid so telling them that is a message they instantly reject. It is sometimes wise to walk away since it is very difficult to turn this into a win/win situation.

I laugh at how many SEO snake-skin sellers you can actually see out there. Who the heck can guarantee you a number one place on Google? How on earth do these people continue to do business with such blatant lies and horrible ambiguity? Do they ever keep their clients, or do they just make money out of garnering 'new' clients (ie. Conning someone new). I really wonder at how some people manage to sleep at night with these sorts of businesses.

Edited by Tim: given the author of this comment believes his name is toys and the url he is promoting made this comment just that more funny
