		<description>thanks for the comments guys I&#039;m glad you enjoyed it Karen ;) its interesting I never meant the post to come across as negative simply that bloggers shouldn&#039;t abuse a competition for backlinks as its a waste of resources I&#039;m all for competitions and writing projects but for their own sake not some SEO purpose.</description>

		<description>I have to admit this post is pretty entertaining. And helpful too. You&#039;ve raised some important matters that most bloggers (myself included) might not take into consideration when they think about running their own contests. 

The way you used that image of a brick wall was a good example of how pics can be used to enhance posts. And this is yet another lesson I myself need to learn. :-P</description>

I don&#039;t disagree with any of your points, but a lot of bloggers with around 100 subscribers or so have managed to get a lot out of contests. If its a new blog that has 3 readers, sure that&#039;s different. It should be noted though that any kind of successful contest will take a lot of work, and that is time you no longer have for other priorities. Interesting post.</description>
